  • A village can participate by filling the Village application form, which shows the village is willing to participate in the CFV.
  1. Where will I get training?
  • The training is arranged online at the scheduled evening time at the Zoom platform.
  1. How I / villagers will be trained
  • You will be trained through our training expert, through watching the videos and viewing PPT explained in your language. If the members cannot able to attend the online training meeting. Our appointed Taluka coordinator will be going to train the members, during a village visit.

  1. What is CFV program
  • CFV full form stands for “COVID FREE VILLAGE” is a village-level, community-led movement taking responsibility for protecting their villages from the impact of COVID -19 by creating a Village Task Force.
  1. How to form village task forces?
  • Gram panchayat will be facilitating for creation of VTF which will include Sarpanch as head, and 5 proactive village members, which will include 2 female members. This task force team will be taking key responsibility assigned to them.
  1. Can we use existing task forces?
  • Yes, the existing village task force, can be used for Mass awareness on COIVD appropriate behavior and VTF would be supporting all types of COVID initiatives.
  1. How the task force members will get trained?
  • The VTF members will be trained online and offline.
  1. Can a person be part of multiple VTF?
  • Yes, a person can be in multiple VTF, but he/she has to complete the responsibility assigned.
  1. What is Covid Madat Kendra (Covid help center) and how to form it?
  • The Covid Madat Kendra can be formed with the existing VTF members. Madat Kendra can be formed at a particular place where villagers can easily reach. The mobile number should be placed outside madat Kendra and mobile number has to be circulated at the village level and information of essential services should be provided at Madat Kendra. The Madat Kendra is the center of all risk reduction activities in the village.
  1. What is the role of Sarpanch in CFV program?
  • The Sarpanch will understand the CFV concept and agrees to participate in the project. He/She will attend the training program organized for Sarpanch to understand the key responsibilities.
  • He/She will submit the Village application form with taking the consent of village seniors and Gram panchayat members.
  • Sarpanch will identify and select VTF members in consultation with Gram Sevak and Talhati. Once the VTF group is formed ensure that they are trained and their capacities are strengthened.
  • Sarpanch will create a WhatsApp group for smooth coordination of the Village Task Force.
  • Sarpanch is the head of the VTF members to ensure all the COVID-related activities are taking place in the village for COVID risk reduction.
  1. What is the role of NGOs in CFV program?
  • Local NGOs will be supporting the CFV program with the help of the District and Taluka Coordinator.
  1. What is the role of student volunteers in the CFV program?
  • Student volunteers will be taking responsibility for building awareness of COVID-related activities.
  • Student volunteers will be supporting the VTF ecosystem. They will be part of strategic thinking, behavior change communication, capturing the status of COVID, and making action plans accordingly with the help of District and Taluka coordinators.

And both TC 1&2, had responsibilities have Trained and build Capacity Building for VTF 1 to 5. And ensure Village Task Force has followed all the CFV program guidelines.

 

  1. How will I receive support from the administration in CFV program?
  • At Taluka level to a Program Management unit will be established under the leadership of the Tehsidar/ BDO to provide direct support to the village task force. The Taluka PMU, will be nominated officials from the department of Health, Panchayati Raj, Women and Child Development, Education, and other relevant departments as needed. These officials, along with representatives of the local NGO, will serve as directly with the Village Task force members for prompt guidance, expeditions, facilitation, and active support in program implementation.
  1. Whom can I use in CFV program implementation at the village level
  • The selected members from the Village task force and Sarpanch can be used for the implementation of CFV program.
  1. What methods can I use for awareness in CFV program?
  • Reach out to fellow villagers to educate them about Covid Appropriate Behavior.
  • Utilize the awareness posters and creatives for the village
  • Identify the important locations in the village for display the awareness materials at ST stand, Gram Panchayat office, Main chowks, Temples and religious place, Covid Madat Kendra.
  1. How will I take the reviews?
  • Get regular feedback on optimizing the strategy.
  • Engage in internal reviews conducted for objectives and tasks assigned to you.
  • Update your progress and seek guidance in case of any support required.

  1. What is the review frequency?
  • Review can be done weekly or within fifteen days.
  1. What is KMS portal?
  • This portal gives you access to all program and training-related content for implementing the Covid-free Village program. From this portal, you can download implementation guidebooks, self-learning videos, and BCC/IEC material from respective menus. The Learning resources are available for Sarpanchs, members of Village Task Forces, student interns/volunteers, BJS staff at district and taluka levels, and members of BJS volunteer cadre. Program orientation material for government officials is also available.

  • The PMS application is a mobile application, where the Taluka coordinator can add the details of Sarpanch and VTF members. Through this application, Sarpanch can fill in the information of the village profile and submit the village application. Though this application we can view and track the villages that opted for CFV program.

  • Mobilize funds locally to print the posters and creatives.
  • You may seek help from the Sarpanch for the availability of funds from the Gram Panchayat.
  • You may also find local sponsors, whose names can be printed at the bottom of the posters.
  • The local donation can also be raised for meeting the printing expenses.
  1. What methods can we use to spread awareness about Covid-19?
  • Improve knowledge, attitudes, and practices of Covid appropriate behavior among people of the village.
  • The village is better prepared for Covid containment in subsequent waves of a pandemic.
  1. What type of awareness activities we can carry out in the village?
  • Awareness activities can be done with effective activities and communication mediums can be used in campaigns like: Poster, Street Play, Dawandi, Influential leaders, Religious leaders, Kirtans, Common wall painting, Newspaper, Bhachat Ghats, Home visits, Taun Mandal, Social Media, Prabhat feri, Public announcement system.
  1. Whom should we update about our work/task?
  • You can update your work/task to appointed Taluka coordinator and Taluka administrator.

  1. What is the role of VTF2?
  • The role is for Tracing, Tracking, Testing and Treatment
    • Tracing: Support village health workers (ASHA, ANM) in conducting surveys to identify people with Influenza, like illness in the village.
    • Tracking: Assist village health workers (ASHA, ANM) in keeping a record of such symptomatic patients and in encouraging and motivating them for testing.
    • Support village health workers (ASHA, ANM) in tracing at least 12 contacts of tested positive patients, and encourage them to undergo testing.
    • Testing: Assist with testing of symptomatic (coordination with primary health center or sub-center, arrangements for transport, provision of test kits).
    • Counsel villagers on the process of testing and measures to be taken after results, including the importance of self-isolation.
    • Counsel villagers and empower them to fight myths, misconceptions, stigma, and discrimination.
    • Treatment: Assist in shifting people to quarantine centers and Covid care centers as needed.
    • Make arrangements for transportation facilities for shifting the patients.
    • Sensitize neighbors of positive patients for observing for precautionary measures.
  1. Can ASHA & ANM be members of VTF2?
  • Yes, ASHA & ANM can be members of VTF2, they play a major role in TTTT.
  1. What is VTF2 role in testing & tracking?
  • Tracking: Assist village health workers (ASHA, ANM) in keeping a record of such symptomatic patients and in encouraging and motivating them for testing.

  1. What is the role of VTF3?
  • Have to establish the facilities/ buildings like schools, hostels, community halls, marriage halls, in the village to establish Quarantine Centers/ Covid care centers.
  1. Where can we get the list of quarantine centers / Covid care centers?
  • The list can be received from, Panchayat samatai (THO).
  1. What infrastructures from our village can we select for QC/CC?
  • The infrastructure can be schools, Hostels, marriage halls, Lodge which have enough space for the accommodation of people.
  1. What facilities can be provided for QC/CC in our village?
  • The patient should be receiving entertainment facilities, like TV, newspaper, magazines, broad games, etc., as possible to lighten the atmosphere and make the patient stay comfortable.
  • The patient should have provision for food, tea, and snacks, from the community kitchen.
  • The patient should receive the proper facilities like proper beds, pillows, chaddar, hot water.
  • QC/CC should be separate wards for children, males, and females.
  • Proper cleanness and sanitization should be done during the scheduled period.
  1. What mechanism we should set for the QC/CC out of our village?
  • With the support of Taluka administration in setting up Quarantine center/ Covid care center
  • With the support of Taluka administration by arranging for basic patient-comfort services like electricity, clean drinking, hot water, clean, toilets, etc. and a positive environment to stay.
  • Appropriate provision for medicines, staff, medical paramedical, support staff and volunteers can support QC.
  • Ensure transport facility available for the patient to reach the center.
  • Escalate the concerns (if any) and seek resolutions will within the timelines.
  • Ensure proper documentation of patients admitted and treatment provided as per government guidelines.

  • Support eligible people in preparation and timely submission of their applications for availing schemes benefits.
  • Follow-up with concerned government departments/ officials until the applicants receive schemes benefits.

  • Yes, the vaccination can be arranged with the support of Taluka administration/ Primary health center.

  1. What is the role of student volunteers in the CFV program implementation?
  • A student volunteer will be supporting and implementing the CFV program at the assigned villages.

  • Create an online technology platform that enables strong linkages with the state administration and program management unit for coordinating program implementation at the state level and for online sharing of English versions of documentation on conceptual and operational frameworks of Village Task Forces, the material on the training of stakeholders, audio-visual and other training content, manuals and tools, process documents, SOPs, guidelines, and IEC creatives. The portal will facilitate the download of all essential program documentation and upload of progress information, reports, collaterals and MIS data for the dashboard.
